Unit price perIn this 3-hour workshop, you'll have two options for your steeking adventure. Cut your cowl once and add a tidy button band to transform it into a stylish buttoned neck warmer, or cut it four times for extra steeking practice, add a border around each square and end up with an adorable set of handmade coasters!
Your takeaways from this class will include how to properly secure your steek before cutting, how to confidently cut into your knitting without it unraveling on you, and how to neatly pick up stitches along a cut edge and finish with a clean, polished button band or border.
Materials: One ball of sticky worsted-weight, non-superwash wool such as Knitting for Olive Heavy Merino in a color to match your Brave Little Cowl (ask us for a coupon code to get the pattern free with your class registration). A small amount of strong, sticky fingering or lace weight yarn in a color that somewhat matches your project. 24" US 7 circular knitting needle, scissors, tapestry needle.
Homework: Bring your fully complete Brave Little Cowl to class with you. Your cowl must have all ends woven in and have been BLOCKED and dry.
Prerequisites: Students must have completed the Stranded Colorwork Cowl class or arrive with a completed stranded colorwork cowl ready to steek.
