ReCraft Supply: A Craft Thrift Annex

by Fancywork Staff on Feb 06, 2026
We’re thrilled to introduce ReCraft Supply, the newest addition to Fancywork! Inspired by the creativity and camaraderie of our community, ReCraft Supply was born from a simple idea: crafting should be joyful, eco-friendly, and accessible to everyone. Tucked into the back room at our shop, you’ll find a treasure trove of crafty goodness to inspire your next creative endeavor. Pre-loved and some brand new or unused, we've got yarn, fabric, notions, books, hooks, and tools all waiting for the next maker to bring them to life. By giving craft materials a second chance, ReCraft Supply helps keep craft materials out of the landfill while making your next project easy on the wallet. It’s a low cost, sustainable way to share and spark creativity right here in Bend’s vibrant maker community. Come explore, donate, or just drop by to see what gems have been re-gifted with love. NOW ACCEPTING DONATIONS!  We accept new & gently used craft supplies of all kinds provided they are smoke-free, pet hair free and bug free.  Feel free to bring your donations to the shop during our hours of operation. We appreciate items being sealed in plastic bags. We thank you!

Discovering: What Defines Knitwear?

by Ilana Holland on Mar 19, 2025
What do you picture when you hear the word knitwear? For me, it used to be a simple hand-knit sweater – one that’s been passed down from generation to generation. It’s old, well worn, with obvious signs of love. As my experience with my craft grows, should my definition also change? Fancywork's Ilana Holland muses on historical trends on knitwear and how "high-fashion" influences "craft."
