Join us on a cozy and creative journey as we knit the beautiful Stornoway Sweater by Cheryl Mokhtari at Fancywork Yarn Shop. This stunning sweater features textural details and a relaxed fit, perfect for layering during the colder months or slipping on with jeans on cooler spring and summer evenings by the campfire.

We’ll be using Knitting for Olive Heavy Merino, a luxurious yarn that boasts a winning combination of softness, durability, and textural pop making it ideal for this project. We're fully restocked in a plethora of rich colors! It’s the perfect choice for a timeless wardrobe staple like the Stornoway.

While our knitalongs are not classes, we will be there to guide you through the process of knitting this particular sweater. You’ll get personalized tips, tricks, and advice on everything from fit adjustments to mastering the construction and techniques in the pattern.

What's a Knitalong (or Crochetalong, or Makealong)?
A knitalong (KAL), Crochetalong (CAL) or Makealong (MAL) is a social event designed to bring the maker community together around a specific pattern or yarn – or sometimes both. Enjoy connecting with others while knitting or crocheting the same garment or working with a particular yarn together. This is a fantastic time to gather together with others in our fiber arts community, enjoy camaraderie, and get a little guidance and project support along the way.

What ISN'T a Knitalong/Crochetalong/Makealong?
A KAL/CAL/MAL is not a class. You should be reasonably familiar with the techniques required to work through the project at hand. However, help is never far away! If you ever find yourself in need of extended project support, drop in to our Help Session, offered weekly on Saturdays from 1-3pm.
