Doodling in Stranded Colorwork

Date & Time: Wednesdays, April 16, 23 & 30, from 10:30am-12pm each day

Learn to confidently create intricate designs that tell a story in your knitting with stranded colorwork. Over the course of three weeks, we'll cover the importance of value in color selection for your stranded colorwork projects, swatching for colorwork, color dominance, managing float tension and more.

In this class, we'll use Pacific Knit Co.'s Doodle Decks – a creative collection of colorwork motifs presented as a deck of cards – that you can mix and match for endless customization.

A Doodle Deck and 2 balls of Jamieson's Shetland Spindrift are included with your class registration.

At the end of class you'll be ready to cast on a winter's worth of show stopping stranded colorwork projects spanning the range from accessories to traditional Scandinavian colorwork sweaters and everything in between!

Materials: Materials included with your class registration are one Doodle Deck and two balls of Jamieson's Shetland Spindrift (all items are limited to available stock on hand). Please bring a 24" US 4 and a 24" US 5 circular needle, stitch markers, tapestry needle and scissors.

Prerequisite skills: Knitting, purling, joining in the round, and binding off
