Kelly Meneely's Chunky Christmas Stocking pattern provides the roadmap and Dedra Clark's excellent instruction leads the way to holiday cheer! “Yule” learn basic sock construction as well as stranded colorwork in this festive class. Simple, repetitive colorwork motifs and bulky yarn make for a quick flowing project, leaving oodles of time for questions and discussion on all things stranded colorwork and sock construction. Techniques we'll cover include 2-color stranded colorwork, decreases, kitchener stitch, afterthought heels, using a lifeline, picking up stitches and making an i-cord.
It's content rich class held over 3 weeks in November, wrapping up in time to hang those beautiful stockings by the chimney with care!
Materials: Two balls of Berroco Ultra Wool Chunky in two contrasting colors. Suggested needle sizes: US 9 double-pointed needles or circular knitting needles in 40" length for magic loop. Darning needle, stitch markers, including a unique one for BOR, and a pair of scissors.
Prerequisite skills: Casting on, joining in the round, knitting, purling and binding off.
