While knitting the Kuutar Tee by Sari Nordlund our star instructor Dedra will teach you all about reading lace charts, share helpful tricks and useful tools for staying on track in complex patterns, how to fix mistakes in lacework without losing your sanity, and so much more.

Important: Students should already know how to swatch and come to the first class with a completed – i.e blocked – swatch before the first class!

Kuutar is a Finnish word meaning “the lady of the moon” or “the goddess of moon.” This elegant summer top is knitted seamlessly top-down starting at the neckband. The sleeves and body are separated at the underarm and knitted separately. The back is shaped with short-rows to give it a bit more length and to improve the fit.

We suggest knitting Kuutar Tee in Elemental Effects Coastal, a sport-weight blend of 50% Shaniko wool, 25% mulberry silk, and 25% Belgian flax. Our shipment is arriving in late March, with plenty of time for you to make your selections and have your swatches ready in time for the first class to begin.

The Class Schedule:
