Sheep Camp KAL

Jennifer describes thinking about when Shimásání (her grandmother) used to herd sheep and how peaceful her life was. The motif she designed on Sheep Camp "has arrows that draw inward like a deep inhale and at the same time pull outward, like a long slow exhale." Jennifer's hope for all of us as we wear our Sheep Camp sweaters, is to remind ourselves to take time to slow down and breathe.

With that intention in mind, we're pleased to invite our knitting community to join us for a leisurely Sheep Camp knitalong at the shop. Gather with friends for coffee or tea and begin your day breathing with your stitches. Caroline will be our host for this intentional knitalong which meets every third week - straddling the holidays and giving plenty of time for relaxing knitting between sessions. 

THE SCHEDULE:

This Knitalong meets in person every third Saturday morning at Fancywork:

• Meetup 1: Saturday, November 23, 10 am - 12 pm
  
• Meetup 2: Saturday, December 14, 10 am - 12 pm
  
• Meetup 3: Saturday, January 4, 10 am - 12 pm

What's a Knitalong (or Crochetalong, or Makealong)?
A knitalong (KAL), Crochetalong (CAL) or Makealong (MAL) is a social event designed to bring the maker community together around a specific pattern or yarn – or sometimes both. Enjoy connecting with others while knitting or crocheting the same garment or working with a particular yarn together. This is a fantastic time to gather together with others in our fiber arts community, enjoy camaraderie, and get a little guidance and project support along the way.

What ISN'T a Knitalong/Crochetalong/Makealong?
A KAL/CAL/MAL is not a class. You should be reasonably familiar with the techniques required to work through the project at hand. However, help is never far away! If you ever find yourself in need of extended project support, drop in to our Help Session, offered weekly on Saturdays from 1-3pm.
