Juni + Si, pronounced Ju-Knee and Sigh, is named after the owner's grandchildren Juniper and Silas. Dyed out of Snoqualmie, Washington, Jean wants to acknowledge and honor the native people who have heavily contributed to the art of dyeing. 

As with all hand-dyed yarns, Juni + Si are dyed in small lots. Color, tonality and speckle amounts may vary from skein to skein, lot to lot and monitor to monitor.

Sweater Weather Warriors is a flexible, pay-as-you-go series of sessions—a low-pressure, high-support space to work through your sweater projects with guidance, camaraderie, and a little accountability.

Think of it as a cross between a Help Session and a Knitalong—perfect if you need help deciphering where you left off, mastering a finishing technique, or just want the encouragement of fellow knitters. Drop in when you can, commit to making progress, and finally give those sweaters the grand finale they deserve!

The hardy sheep that bring us this remarkable wool roam freely on the grassland of the Tibetan Plateau at an altitude of over 4000 mt. Through their work, mYak aims is to give this thousands-of-years-old nomadic lifestyle an opportunity to thrive and prosper in uncertain modern times.

Out of deep respect for animal welfare, nomads shear the sheep by hand in the traditional way that has been used for centuries – collecting the fiber following the natural life rhythms of the animals and the people who raise them. Tibetan sheep are a very strong breed that have adapted to the rough environmental conditions of the Himalayan plateau.

The herd that produces fiber for mYak Tibetan Cloud comes from a poorer area of Tibet, intentionally chosen to bring a better income to these communities. mYak aims to give this thousand of years old nomadic lifestyle an opportunity to thrive and prosper in uncertain modern times. The fiber is spun and dyed in Biella, at the foothills of the Italian Alps, the cradle of most ancient and prestigious Italian textile excellence.

With Joji’s signature grace and thoughtful design, this shawl is a meditative knit that honors the beauty of solo journeys and creative pauses. Joji writes, “It is good to be in peace with one’s heart,” and this pattern reflects just that—quiet, intentional, and full of possibility.

We’ll gather on two consecutive Sundays – June 22 and June 29– from 3–5 pm, for low-key, sun-soaked stitching with fiber friends, hosted by Maricela and Dedra! Whether you’re casting on poolside or catching up in the shop, this knitalong is all about savoring the process and celebrating the magic of yarn that’s "traveling solo toward its destination."

What's a Knitalong (or Crochetalong, or Makealong)?
A knitalong (KAL), Crochetalong (CAL) or Makealong (MAL) is a social event designed to bring the maker community together around a specific pattern or yarn – or sometimes both. Enjoy connecting with others while knitting or crocheting the same garment or working with a particular yarn together. This is a fantastic time to gather together with others in our fiber arts community, enjoy camaraderie, and get a little guidance and project support along the way.

What ISN'T a Knitalong/Crochetalong/Makealong?
A KAL/CAL/MAL is not a class. You should be reasonably familiar with the techniques required to work through the project at hand. However, help is never far away! If you ever find yourself in need of extended project support, drop in to our Help Session, offered weekly on Saturdays from 1-3pm.

Our Try-On Tubes include one of each 30", 60" and 90" length tubes. Stored in an easy to twist tin, the tubes fit snuggly inside. 

How to place stitches onto a Try-On Tube:

1.) Simply put the tip of your needles holding your live stitches into the opening of one end of a try-on tube. 

2.) Slip the desired amount of stitches off of the working needle and onto the tube.

3.) Tie the two ends of the tube together to ensure your stitches don't slip off. 

How to put stitches back onto needles:

1.) Untie the ends of the tube.

2.) Place your needle into one end of the Try-On Tube holding your live stitches. 

3.) Slip your stitches back onto your needle.

All sets include 4″ (10 cm), surgical stainless steel, lace tips and three cable lengths: 8″ (20 cm), 14″ (35 cm), and 22″ (55 cm) cables to make 16″ (40 cm), 22″ (56 cm), and 30″ (76 cm) circulars. TWIST red cables are memory free, consisting of a multi-strand, steel cable coated with red nylon.
