The wool in Laneras yarns is grown in Uruguay by sheep raised with the highest standards for ethical treatment as well as environmental concerns. It is then processed using over 90% renewable energy, and hand-dyed using the top quality dyes, which meet OEKO-TEX standards for environmental friendliness.
Polwarth wool is as soft as most merinos, boasting a micron width between 22-25 microns. But due to Polwarth’s longer staple length, it is naturally more durable and less likely to pill. Plus, Barefoot’s stand-out stitch definition makes this a yarn for nearly everything: high-wear garments, next-to-skin accessories, soft, graceful wraps and shawls, and more.
