Quarry’s unique structure is inspired by roving-style “unspun” yarns. Using the same lofty, soft Targhee-Columbia wool found in Shelter and Loft, three gently spun strands make a plump, beautiful yarn that mimic a single ply yet boasts greater tensile strength and stitch definition. Quarry is a great choice for colorwork and cabled projects alike including sweaters, coats, blankets and cozy accessories. Dyed in the wool, Quarry is offered in 15 softly heathered shades. As with all Brooklyn Tweed yarns, Quarry is developed, sourced, processed, spun and dyed in the USA.

Quarry is the bulky cousin of Shelter and Loft, but with a different structure. Comprised of three strands of pencil roving loosely plied together, this dyed-in-the-wool yarn features little bits of tweedy color against a solid background. Lightweight yet warm and ideal for colorwork or cables, you can work it densely for a hat or mittens, or on larger needles/hooks for sweaters and wraps.
