Winter of Colorwork KAL with Brooklyn Tweed
Join your knitterly friends at Fancywork for Brooklyn Tweed’s Winter of Colorwork KAL. Gudrun Johnston has designed the stunning Pascal Cardigan for Quarry, a woolen-spun Targhee-Columbia chunky yarn. If you haven’t worked with Brooklyn Tweed’s 100% American made, sheep-to-skein yarn you are in for a sweet treat! Knit for yourself or a loved one – this pattern comes in either a men’s or women’s version. The woodsy three-color motif colorwork will be an enjoyable project for colorwork knitters of all levels. We’ll learn tips and techniques for working each part of the cardigan — choosing colors, swatching for stranded colorwork, sweater construction, and (gulp!) steeking, to name a few. The pattern will be released on January 16th with Brooklyn Tweed’s Winter 19 Collection, but you can get started now by downloading a coloring sheet to plan your very own Pascal here.
The Winter of Colorwork KAL kicks off at Fancywork on Thursday, January 24th from 1-3pm and meets weekly for eight weeks, wrapping up on March 14th. As usual, we’ll have project support, encouragement, friendship, merriment, prizes, and a Finished Object Fashion Show. Join us for this fun and educational event!
Fancywork KALs are free to participate in, but we ask that you kindly buy the yarn at our shop. Stop in to choose your yarn, grab the pattern and register for the knit along.
