Time: Thursdays, October 17 & 24 from 1-3pm both days
Completely reversible colorwork? Yes! Soft and warm for winter, the Scandinavian Double-Knit hat is like two hats in one. Techniques taught in class include double knitting, reading charts, and circular knitting in the round. Note: Only the diamond chart will be used in the class.
- Yarn: 100-200 yards each in two contrasting colors of worsted weight yarn. Sample shown in Mirasol Llama Una.
- Needles: US 5 16-inch circular double-points.
- Pattern: Scandinavian Double-Knit Hat by Melissa Leapman. Free on Ravelry or $1 in the shop.
- Misc.: highlighter tape (available in the shop) or other way to track rows in the chart, stitch markers, tapestry needle, scissors or other cutting tool
Pre-Requisite Skills: Students should be able to knit and purl, and need to have completed a prior project on a circular needle.
