We are all doing quite a bit of recalibrating these days, aren’t we? In light of that – but mostly because we just LOVE the sweater – we are hosting a FREE virtual knitalong with Shana Cohen’s Recalibrate. This modular sweater is knit with seemingly endless possibilities of fingering weight yarn, an easy wearing, fast-knitting loose gauge and is reversible to boot. Wear it one way one day, then switch it around the next for a whole new you!
Recalibrate is a beginner-friendly pattern making the most of soothing garter stitch, perfect for binge watching Ted Lasso, listening to hours of podcasts or – yes – knitting beside a beautiful mountain lake somewhere (link intentionally left out to increase your chances of solitude). The pattern is size inclusive with instructions for 18 different sizes and also includes directions for how to adjust the dimensions to make a perfect fit.
There is so much yarn that would work for this pattern it’s kind of crazy, but a few of our favorites are Farmer’s Daughter Fibers Squish Fingering (recently restocked with oodles of new colors!), Round Mountain Fibers’ Birch Fingering or Alder Fingering (colors inspired by nature – perfect for you lakeside knitters), Brooklyn Tweed’s Peerie or Loft, The Fiber Co’s Amble, Malabrigo Sock, Koigu KPPPM, Mirasol Sulka Legato – even our newest yarn, Hudson & West Co. Weld (shiny, new yarn! YAY!). Stop in the shop and let us help you Recalibrate.
Register for the KAL to receive the Zoom log in, then join us online Tuesday evenings in August from 6-7pm for some stitching and social time.
