Multnomah is a great first triangular shawl. Mostly garter stitch with a very easy lace border, this shawl will demonstrate the construction for many triangular shawls, and with only one lace-work row, it is simple to memorize. Multnomah takes one or two skeins of fingering weight yarn and is perfect for that lonely variegated color that you love but don’t know what to do with.
Materials:
- Yarn: 375-800 yards fingering weight yarn
- Needles: 24-32″ circulars in US 4
- Pattern: Multnomah, by Kate Ray, Free on Ravelry or $1 in the shop
- Misc.: 4 stitch markers, scissors, and a tapestry needle
Pre-Requisite Skills: casting on, knit, purl, and binding off
Instructor: Jen Albert
A friendly note about parking: In consideration of our good neighbors, we ask that, if you are able, please park on the surrounding streets if you plan to be in the shop for an extended period of time. We appreciate your consideration.
