Learn about Mosaic Knitting, a fun and simple colorwork technique, and prepare yourself for our upcoming Laurelie KAL. Mosaic knitting creates a similar look as stranded colorwork knitting without having to manage multiple colors in a single row. Use simple slipped stitches to create interesting geometric shapes. In this class, we will explore multiple mosaic stitch patterns and mosaic charts as we knit wrist warmers.

Materials:

  • Fingering weight yarn: 2 colors, 50 grams each. Suggested yarn: Brooklyn Tweed Peerie
  • Needles: US 4 (or size needed to achieve gauge), double points, FlexiFlips or longer circular needle for magic loop.

Pre-Requisite Skills: Students should be able to knit and purl, and need to have completed a prior project on a circular needle.

Instructor: Kris Redmond
