Note: This is two-session class.
Time: Tuesday, February 20 & 27 from 1 – 3pm both days

Cost: $55.00

Level: Intermediate

A mobius is a magical technique used to create a graceful flowing cowl. While only simple stitches are used, the journey to create this cowl is unlike any other knitting. In this class, we will learn the mobius cast on, variations for different fabrics and special blocking. Our class will be a study of Cat Bordhi’s Mobius technique.

Materials: About 190 yds of DK weight yarn. (Elsebeth Lavold’s Silky Wool was used for our shop model.) A size 7 circular needle, 40-47-inches in length. (Tip: use one size larger than you would usually use for the yarn that you choose to create a softer drape.) Scissors, a stitch marker, and a tapestry needle. Pattern will be provided.

Note: Other weights of yarn can be used. Purchase addition yarn if changing the weight of yarn or if you want your cowl to be wider than the model, you may need to purchase additional yarn. As always Fancywork staff is happy to help you choose the right yarn for your project.
