Get started on the path to creating your own treasured handknits! Whether you’ve never picked up needles before or you’ve dabbled in the past and are in need of a refresher, this class will give you a solid foundation of the fundamentals of knitting and knitting terminology. We’ll cover topics including casting on & binding off, the knit and the purl stitch, slipped stitches, reading a simple pattern, and unknitting and picking up dropped stitches so you’re able to fix mistakes when they happen (and they happen to the best of us). Understand anatomy of a knitting needle, stitches, and basics on yarn weights. There will also be a short discussion on gauge so your project will fit right. Create a small project to take home and work on over three sessions. Pattern provided.
