Time: Tuesdays, December 1 & 8 from 5-7 pm both days
Level: Advanced Beginner
A cabled confection, the Patisserie Hat is perfect last-minute gift knitting. With super bulky yarn and big needles, the hat works up in no time and will keep the wearer warm all winter. Learn how to cable using charts while making visible progress on your project, one fat stitch at a time. The first session will cover casting on and how to cable, while the second will cover finishing work and making a pompom.
- Yarn: 1 skeins Malabrigo Rasta or 90 yards super bulky yarn
- Needles: US 17 16-inch circular, US 19 16-inch circular and double-points. NOTE: If you are familiar with magic loop knitting you can use US 17 and 19 32-inch circulars (or interchangeable needles with a 32-inch cord). The instructor will NOT teach the magic loop method as part of this class.
- Pattern: Patisserie Hat, by Edward Sosnoski, available in the shop via Ravelry In-Store Sales.
- Misc.: stitch markers, tapestry needle, scissors or other cutting tool, pompom maker (optional)
