Have you seen Jedi the Curious Giraffe? He’s just one of any number of adorable stuffies made with crochet granny squares, hexagons, and pentagons. In this class, we will learn to make the different shapes required for these adorable animals, and we will practice the “join as you go” method of attaching them. Choose your favorite species and prepare to make possibly the cutest cuddly you’ve ever snuggled!
Materials: Yarn in at least 4 different colors, and a range of hook sizes (generally smaller than recommended by the yarn). Worsted weight is suggested, but any weight will work. Your favorite Heidi Bears pattern, available in the shop via Ravelry In-Store Sales. Scissors, locking stitch markers.
Prerequisite Skills: Students must know how to work in the round, have some experience with granny squares or similar projects (doilies, round washcloth, etc.) Must also be comfortable with all basic crochet stitches: CH, SC, HDC, DC, SLST.
