Learn circular knitting, color stranding techniques, and decreases with this adorable colorwork hat made with only two small skeins of Marisol’s Llama Una. This bold, graphic knit is sure to become a staple in your fall and winter wardrobe. Or, if you’re feeling generous, it would make a perfect gift for just about anyone!

Bonus: If you’re curious about joining us for the Vintersol Knitalong (beginning September 24th) but aren’t confident about your colorwork skills, this is a great small project to gain the skills needed to tackle this larger project.


  • Yarn: Two skeins Mirasol Llama Una in contrasting colors
  • Needles: 16″ or 20″ US 6 circular needle and set of US 6 double point needles or long cord circular needles for magic loop
  • Pattern: The Easy Ombre Slouch Hat, available as a free pattern on Ravelry
  • Notions: 10 stitch markers (one different than the others) and a tapestry needle
