Note: This is two-session class.
Time: Friday, March 23 & March 30 from 1-3 pm
This double knit scarf is sure to elicit a few double-takes from admirers! In this class, we will knit Lucy Neatby’s Moonstone Scarf. Techniques covered include a two-color tubular cast on, double knitting stitches, and tubular bind off. We will also be reading from text and charts.
Materials: Two highly contrasting color yarns – either fingering or sport weight – one solid color and one variegated color, 50 grams of each. (Our shop model is made with Long Dog Yarns in Luxe Fingering.) A 24” circular needle, one size larger than you would usually use for the yarn that you choose, and a pair of straight needles two sizes smaller than the circular needle you chose. The pattern: The Moonstone DK Scarf by Lucy Neatby, available on Ravelry. You’ll also need a tool to keep track of rows on a chart, scissors and a tapestry needle.
