Join us in honoring the late U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg. Ginsburg’s legacy of tirelessly working to level the playing field and achieve equal justice before the law for ALL people has touched all of our lives. Now it’s up to us to carry on her work.
Cast on any project of your choice inspired by Justice Ginsburg’s famous dissent collar and join us weekly via Zoom on Saturdays from 10am to noon PST, October 3rd through October 31st or anytime on the Fancywork Lounge on Ravelry. Let’s come together as a community, bound by our shared humanity, in understanding of each other’s differences, and with hope for creating a beautiful future for everyone. Zoom link will be emailed to registered KAL participants each week. In keeping with the theme of equality, all participants will be eligible to win prizes regardless of whether or not they’ve completed their project by October 31st!
Kits for Andrea Rangel’s Dissent Cardigan, Dissent Pullover and Dissent Toque are available in our web shop. Andrea is donating 15% of proceeds from all three of her Dissent Series patterns to the ACLU through November 3, 2020. To match her generosity, Fancywork Yarn Shop will also be donating 15% of proceeds from the sale of our Dissent Kits to the ACLU for the same period of time.
Please note: We crafters are a diverse group with differing political opinions, religions, races, sexual orientations, and gender identities (or lack thereof). We celebrate those differences as they are precisely what makes our world such a rich place. Provided a person conducts his, her, or themselves towards others with sensitivity, kindness, and respect towards others and their opinions, she/he/they are welcome in our shop and at our events. Please keep this in mind during our KAL meetings.
Venue: Fancywork Zoom Room
