Note: This is two-session class.
Time: Tuesday, February 20 & 27 from 10am – 12pm both days
Get started on the path to creating your own treasured handknits! Whether you’ve never picked up needles before or you’ve dabbled in the past and are in need of a refresher, this class will give you a solid foundation of the fundamentals of knitting. We’ll cover topics including casting on & binding off, the knit and the purl stitch, reading a simple pattern, and unknitting and picking up dropped stitches so you’re able to fix mistakes when they happen (and they happen to the best of us). There will also be a short discussion on gauge so your project will fit right.
Materials: One skein of DK or worsted weight yarn in a color you love, and a 24-inch circular needle of appropriate size for your yarn. Fancywork staff is happy to help you choose the right yarn and needles for your class.
